4. House wall hanging
5,6,7 quilts for each of my oldest sons - to be determined

UFO list

Wow, what a year. I am so ready for 2011 to be over with already. It has not been a good year. So, I'm focusing on 2012. I saw Judy's www.patchworktimes.com UFO challenge and thought, "oh I don't have enough UFOs". Imagine my surprise when I discovered 16! So, I'm going to participate in the challenge and see what I can get done.

UFO list
1. Hop Scotch
2. Scrappy Trips
3. Future Bright
4. Green Strings
5. Red and Blue
6. Strings
7. Bricks
8. 4 patch furrow
9. 9 patch scrap
10. Scrap Irish Chain
11. Plaid Strings
12. Kids happy  blocks
13. Hexagon runner
14. Blue green spiderweb
15. Baby Stars
16. Frogs

There are a couple of babies on the way that need quilts so there are a few of these that will work for that so if they are already done when that number comes up I'll switch or just double up.

Happy quilting!

The FMQ Challenge

I've been participating in The FMQ Challenge. The challenge is to do some FMQ every day for 14 days. So far I'm on day 3.

Here's some recent attemps

The idea is that at the end of the 14 days at the very least I'll be better at this than when I started!

Happy Quilting,

Wow!

Is it almost the end of March already???? My how time flies! Well, I haven't been posting, but I have been quilting.

Mug rugs in process.

I have been having great fun with mug rugs! yes, I have to admit, I am addicted. I started making them for the Quilting Galleries mug rug swap and have now made several.
I got carried away. lol Is it obvious that I'm really enjoying Maverick Stars? They are so easy and very forgiving of seams that don't quite match. lol Currently I'm working on a nine patch of Maverick stars. Don't know what I'll do with it when I'm done but I'm enjoying the process.
These are the two I sent to my swap partner.

Here is another quilt in progress.

I actually have the flimsy done, now I just have to get it quilted and get updated pictures of it.

Lastly another one that just needs quilting. I'm going to try hand quilting it with Lazy Gal Tonya's Free hand fans instructions.

See? I've been busy. lol What is everyone else working on?

Happy quilting!

A new beginning

Welcome to a new year! What new delights wait around the corner? What will we look back on in a year and cherish? I can't wait to find out!

At the very least, I know I will spend much more time devoted to quilting and everything that goes with it. This past year I have learned so much! And there were several months that my fabric and tools never came out! I machine quilted a table runner and a child's quilt.
I love the polka dot binding! It came out really cute!

Close up of the quilting from the back. The border came out a little rough, but this is the biggest project I've quilting on my own!

I have discovered so many things I want to try out this year! I have MANY projects I want to make and can't wait to get started. Off to the machine I go!

Happy Quilting!
